What is Folk Harmonic?

Folk Harmonic is an innovative group music class format with a focus on building musical communication and ensemble music making. It captures the experience of playing in an orchestra, without the need for any classical training. Repertoire is painstakingly chosen from multiple musical traditions, arranged and adapted expressly for folk instruments and voices. The majority of the class is taught by ear, with additional resources such as recordings, sheet music and tutorial videos provided as necessary. Folk Harmonic provides interactive and empowering musical progress regardless of participant level. Open to those who play guitar, accordion, banjo, fiddle, bass, cello, viola, mandolin, piano and ukulele this class is a place for people to come together and share the joy of community music making.

This class is a safe and encouraging environment for people of all levels of ability and musical experience to play music in a group setting.  Bring your instrument, voice, and your sense of fun for an evening of music making with friends.
