Yes, I'm a wee bit jetlagged/need a post vacation vacation. But I also really want to play some tunes with you all and get a start on some Cubanified sounds.

Hey Folksies Great work last night folks, here are a bunch of MP3s to help with practice while I'm away. Also, check out the new tune I Hear You Talking by Cindy Walker. Practice track at 'tempo-de-learno' those chord changes go by fast so the more time you spend on them the easier they'll get.
Go slow! have faith! your fingers WILL make these chord changes. We will be adding harmonies, working on the next step of improvising and some "twin" fiddle/accordion western swing style soli parts when I get back.
HI Folks. Your very belated resources and information and updates are FINALLYYYYY here. I did get them done friday, but murphys law, they were replacing the internet hookups on my street friday. I'd like to thank you for your patience with my scattered resources and responses over the last few months. Things have been going well with Frazer's recovery but the everyday emotional tole is something that creeps up and disrupts things until even the thought of looking at an email inbox is panic inducing. So, I'm gonna keep on, till I find the time to get the rest of the resources done. In the meantime, thanks for being such a fun and awesome group of musicians to work with.
In doing the recording for more love I settled into an arrangement that we'll use as a starting point, and as always we'll build on it and adapt it to the group. I think that I'll be changing one chord in the box chart, but I'm going to make you all help me with that this week, more ears are better than one.
Marcus Mosley Workshop For those who are interested there is a great Gospel singing workshop and concert happening in Port McNeill April 6-8. We've already got 5 folks from Folkhamonic confirmed! I'm so excited. Road Trip! The cost is $70, for adults and is free for Kids and teens. If you would like a billet, please let me know as soon as possible (if you already requested one then you're covered!) The workshop starts Friday April 6 around 6:30pm, which gives time to get there (2.5hrs drive) and will be finished Sunday afternoon, with time to drive home. The workshop is being put on by WildHeart www.wildheartmusic.org which is a non-profit music program that has been bringing free choir lessons and vocal workshops to the youth of the North Island since 2013. In April 2012 after giving a performance in her home town of Port McNeill, singer/songwriter Georgia Murray was approached by many children expressing their desire to learn to sing or play an instrument. After discovering that music programs had been removed from the schools due to district wide budget cuts, Georgia and Deborah Murray along with members of the Port McNeill community had the idea to start a music program on the North Island that would be free to kids ages 5 to 18.
